The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) applies mainly to contractors and subcontractors.
Extensive Changes in CIS Processing took effect since April 6th 2007!
- You will no longer have to go for Interviews and wait for weeks to receive your CIS Card; From the 6th of April we can help you register with the Tax Office directly so you can start work as soon as possible;
- There will no longer be any cards, certificates or vouchers. All you need is confirmation of registration with the Tax Office that will come in the form of a reference number that will be unique for every subcontractor;

It would normally take a few days provided that you have registered as a Self Employed person in UK;
For those who haven’t registered as self – employed – we will help you register, however, the CIS registration process will take a min of 6 weeks in this case;
Contractors and subcontractors who are already registered under the current CIS scheme will not have to re-register for the new scheme.
