Registering with Home Office’s Worker Registration Scheme is essential for you if you are from one of the following countries:

 

Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic.

You should apply to register with the Worker Registration Scheme as soon as you start a new job and within one month of starting a job at the very latest;

If you do not apply within one month of starting a job, your employment will be illegal after that date until you have received a valid registration certificate and you may have to stop working.

Benefits of Registering:

Registering means you will be legally working in UK; Once you have been working legally in the UK for 12 months without interruption, you will have full free movement rights. You can then get an EEA residence permit confirming your right to live in UK under European Community Law;

To register you need to submit an application to the home office together with your passport;
